Jaze Bordeaux (pronounced “JAYZ bor-DOE”) is a Canadian filmmaker, writer, director, producer, and creative entrepreneur who builds films with a clear, practical playbook. An award-winning storyteller, he unites rigorous craft with bold, genre-defining ideas, working at the psychological, spiritual, and political edges of modern life especially where identity, technology, and power intersect.
Shaped by diverse cultural landscapes and a belief in cinema’s transformative potential, Jaze pursues stories that challenge entrenched narratives and invite new ways of seeing. “It’s in moments of disruption, when things become more fluid, that a small group of people, or even a single individual, can change the course of history,” he says. That conviction runs through his work, from explorations of the weaponization of original thought to emergent intelligence and the search for self inside fractured systems. His aim isn’t just to entertain, but to provoke, awaken, and inspire.
In 2024, Bordeaux’s breakout feature, EFC, expanded his international footprint. The sports drama resonated across multiple continents and earned more than 30 honours, including:
